Domiciliary Care (care at home) service
Sandwell Asian Family Support Service (SAFSS) provides a domiciliary (care at home) service for adults aged 18-40 years old in their own or family home. SAFSS works with adults who have a range of disabilities and life limiting and life threatening conditions and provides a service based on individual and family need. All domiciliary care is based on the individual’s care needs and hours are allocated by Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council.
SAFSS are now ready for Individual budgets and packages can be tailored to individuals needs. For example, an adult can choose to receive domiciliary care (personal care at home), be supported to access universal services in the community and also attend one of our adults’ group sessions. SAFSS also provide one-to-one and two-to-one support for adult with disabilities based on individual need and all services provided for adults follow the person-centred planning approach.
During 2009 our adults domiciliary care service was also inspected by the Care Quality commission (CQC) and we were asked to complete our Annual Quality Assurance Assessment (AQAA). We were delighted to be awarded a 3* Excellent which recognises the high standard of care that we provide to families.
SAFSS are Central England Domiciliary Care Provider of the Year 2009 and the West Midlands Domiciliary Care Provider of the Year 2009.
