Adult Community Based Services
During the last financial year SAFSS have increased our services for adults who require support to access mainstream or universal services in the community.
Activities are based on the individual’s care/support plan, needs and interests and include activities such as shopping, learning to ride a bike, visits to the library and going swimming. Sessions can start from home (and can include domiciliary care or personal care support at home) or can be based at our centre in Smethwick. Sometimes our centre is used as a base; people pop in for a cup of tea and a biscuit and then start off again on their travels and activities.

Our community-based service incorporates all service user needs including sensory, cultural, religious, social, community integration and recreation. Our community-based services have developed into a very flexible, person centred service which integrates well with our existing services.
